Lowrance Elite-5 series presents the HDI

The 5-inch package Fishfinder Chartplotter and stand-alone and combined models with Hybrid Dual Imaging ™
Lowrance, a leading brand in marine electronics since 1957 and GPS navigational systems since 1992, is proud to present the series Elite-5 Hybrid Dual Imaging ™ (HDI), the latest in Elite, its range of products and fishfinder chartplotter.
By setting standards for functionality, high performance and ease of use of electronic tools at reasonable prices, Elite-5 HDI is available as combined model fishfinder / chartplotter and fishfinder chartplotter both as stand-alone. Going to replace the previous series Elite-5 and Elite-5 DSI, all models Elite-5 HDI are characterized by Hybrid Dual Imaging System, which combines two award-winning technologies - Broadband Sounder ™ and DownScan Imaging ™ - to provide the best viewing possible of the water column and contained in it.
Incorporated into the new design of the transducer Lowrance HDI Skimmer®, Broadband Sounder technology is ideal to locate the target and track the action of the bait, while the DownScan Imaging provides simple and photographic views of the structure and the bottom. Thanks to the characteristic Lowrance DownScan Overlay ™, it is possible to superimpose the display of DownScan Imaging to that of Broadband Sounder for a presentation extraordinary that separates and clearly highlights the target from the surrounding environment. In addition, the transparency of the image is fully adjustable and can be changed very easily using the knob of the Elite-5 HDI.
For best fishing times, the exclusive Advanced Signal Processing (ASP) Lowrance reduces the need to manually adjust the settings to see more clearly the fish, structure and bottom detail; the TrackBack ™ allows anglers to scroll back recorded images, to review the structure, movement and targets. If used on a model with Elite-5 HDI chartplotter functionality, the user can also use the TrackBack and identify locations with waypoints - eliminating the need to go back and retrace the path. Models Elite-5 HDI capacity chartplotter have an internal GPS antenna extremely precise and an SD card virgin on which fishermen can choose to download or Navionics charts Jeppesen C-Map Max Wide-N.

All models Elite-5 HDI have the exclusive 5-inch color display Lowrance high resolution and a menu with quick access to all features, easy to use even with a single thumb. The options multi-window display, showing a variety of display configurations with sounder / imaging / chartplotter, are easy to access thanks to eight preset layouts. You can also select a multi-display window while the images of sonar and chart are shown live.
The new Elite-5 HDI is composed of individual Elite-5x fishfinder chartplotter HDI and Elite-5m, but also by Elite-5 HDI, the combination of the two models. Each model offers a variety of packages that include transducers frequency 83/200 kHz or 50/200 kHz, as well as a wide choice in the field of cartography.
All models Elite-5 with HDI HDI 50/200 kHz Skimmer transducer are particularly suitable for use in coastal areas and deep lakes. The models that adopt the HDI 83/200 kHz Skimmer transducer are ideal for fishing in fresh water.
The Broadband Sounder models Elite-5 83/200 kHz HDI and HDI 50/200 kHz reaches a depth of 1000 and 2500 feet. The system DownScan Imaging has the ability to reach 300 feet in both models. Optional accessories include a series of through-hull transducers HDI bronze, an adapter kit for transducer from trolling-motor and a kit for flush mounting. All transducers Airmar® used in models are also compatible with Lowrance HDS Series Elite-5 HDI.
